Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 scoop of your favorite protein powder (flavor of your choice)
  • 1/2 cup fresh mixed berries
  • Optional: Honey or maple syrup for sweetness

Steps

  1. In a saucepan, combine the rolled oats and almond milk. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens to your desired consistency. This usually takes about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Stir in the chia seeds and continue to cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the chia seeds to absorb some of the liquid.
  3. Remove the oatmeal from the heat and let it cool slightly.
  4. Once the oatmeal is at a comfortable temperature, mix in your protein powder until it’s well incorporated. Adjust the protein powder amount to your preference for taste and texture.
  5. Top with fresh mixed berries. Feel free to drizzle a bit of honey or maple syrup for added sweetness if desired.
  6. Serve while it’s warm and enjoy!
